Information and Agreement


 Information

Purpose. The Jes.us® website is located on the Internet at www.jes.us, and is herein known as the Site. The purpose of Jes.us® is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ and honorably promote Jesus Christ, Christianity, and Judeo-Christian values.

Developer. The Site was founded July 2, 2003, by , herein known as the Developer, who conceived, designed, developed, and maintains the Site.

If you use the Site, to include, but not limited to, viewing, reading, operating, and test taking, then you agree that you understand and accept the following disclosures, statements, terms, and conditions as an express Agreement between you or your organization and the Developer and any other distributors of the Site. If you do not accept this Agreement, then you may not use the Site.

Copyright and Trademark. The text per se of the King James Version of the Holy Bible used herein is considered to be in the public domain in the U.S.A. and not subject to copyright restrictions. Books available in the Resources section are similarly believed to be in the public domain or have been made available for public use by appropriate entities. The glossarial content per se of the Glossary is in the public domain. Additionally, a limited number of code examples, believed to be in the public domain or made available for public use, have been adapted for use in the Site. Both the commercially available search program and the custom testing program that are integrated into the Site are protected by copyrights on those programs that are claimed, owned, or attributed to separate individuals or entities. Aside from those exceptions, all other content and structure of the Site including, but not limited to, images, layout, design, style, code, and text are Copyright © 2003– by the Developer. All rights are reserved. Jes.us® is a registered trademark of the Developer in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Permission. You have permission to use the Site provided you expressly agree to:

  1. Comply with the copyright conditions stated above;
  2. Not alter the Site or any of the Site’s contents covered by the Developer’s copyright;
  3. Not sell, offer, or trade the Site or any of the Site’s contents covered by the Developer’s copyright; and
  4. Only use the Site in a manner consistent with the purpose of the Site, and not use the Site or any of its contents in a manner that discredits, disparages, commercializes, or reflects negatively on Jesus Christ, Christians, Christianity, or Judeo-Christian values.

All other contemplated uses of the Site or its contents, or exceptions to the conditions stated herein, require the express written permission of the Developer. Sections of the Site may be printed for personal or non-profit religious use, provided such use is consistent with the purpose and conditions of the Site and such printed facsimiles are not sold or traded.

The user agrees to minimally credit Jes.us® or the Internet address for the Site, www.jes.us, when including any content from the Site in formal courses, presentations, or publications (electronic and conventional).

Possible Defects. The Site may contain defects that include, but are not limited to:

  1. Incomplete, inaccurate, incompatible, insecure, or corrupt content;
  2. Transcription and/or programming errors;
  3. Intellectual property infringement;
  4. Content that damages your hardware and/or software; or
  5. Infection by one or more computer viruses, spyware, or malicious computer code.

The possible defects are mentioned in the interests of disclosure, and such inclusion should not be interpreted to mean that the Site is offered with known defects. If defects are uncovered, please contact the Developer so that the defects may be addressed.

Indemnity. By using the Site then you agree to indemnify and hold the Developer and its agents, officers, members, and distributors harmless against any and all claims arising out of said use or distribution, regardless of the cause, effects, or fault.

Limitation of Liability. Neither the Developer nor anyone else who has been involved in the creation, production, distribution, or delivery of the Site shall be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, or incidental damage (including damage for loss of business profit, business interruption, data theft, loss of data, and the like) arising out of the use of or inability to use the Site even if the Developer has been advised of the possibility of such damage. Some jurisdictions may not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damage.

Warranty Disclaimer. The Developer of the Site and any distributor disclaim all liability to you for damages, costs, and expenses, including legal fees, for any real or alleged defect in the Site. You have no remedies for negligence or under strict liability, or for breach of warranty or contract, including, but not limited to, indirect, consequential, punitive, or incidental damages, even if you give notice of the possibility of such damages.

The Site is provided to you “as is” and “as available.” No other representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, are made to you regarding the Site, including, but not limited to, fitness for a particular purpose. No oral or written information or advice given by the Developer, its agents, officers, members, or distributors shall create a warranty, and you may not rely upon such information or advice.

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision of this Agreement, or portion thereof, to be unenforceable, that provision of the Agreement shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to effect the intent of the parties, and the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect. If any part of this Agreement is not legally binding, it shall in no way affect the validity of the other parts of the Agreement.
